코스 개요

German summer courses

German summer courses are available from June to August in exciting cities like Berlin, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Munich or Vienna as well as in beautiful smaller towns all over Germany. Our students’ safety is always assured — regardless of the course center chosen — through our 24-hour staff supervision. Like the year-round German courses, the summer courses also comprise 30 lessons per week and follow the same curriculum. Classes run from Monday to Friday and cover the areas of listening and reading comprehension, writing skills, speaking skills and grammar. The lessons are especially structured and designed for younger and adolescent students. They are interactive and demanding, very effective and fun!

German summer courses for teenagers in Berlin

The cosmopolitan city of Berlin with more than 3.5 million inhabitants has a lot to offer to teenagers in our German summer courses. Program students can enjoy the flair of the capital with a boat ride on the Spree River, a visit to the Berlin Zoo — home to the greatest variety of species of any zoo on earth — or by simply taking a leisurely stroll through the city.

The Brandenburg Gate, the remains of the Berlin Wall, and the world-famous Reichstag all serve as witnesses to Germany’s eventful history.

The fascinating blend of different cultures, the modern architecture and the great variety of outstanding cultural events all justify Berlin’s reputation as a metropolis of superlatives and guarantee an unforgettable summer for our students.

During their German course, our international students stay in the centrally located youth hostel near Berlin Central Station. The house is tucked away in a quiet side street – a green oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Not only the rooms are there, also the German classes take place in the youth hostel. Different language levels (from A1 up to B2) and starting dates are offered for total beginners and advanced learners. With student rooms and classrooms conveniently located in the same building, the setup promotes a structured, boarding-school-style environment and offers short distances.

The Humboldt-Institut program covers everything: lessons, material, accommodation, full board, daily activities, and excursions. Students can explore different areas of Berlin as well as other cities like Dresden.

Modern and central hostel in Berlin
Our students live in the Hostel "martas Gästehaus" close to Berlin central station. Despite its very central location the guest house is a very quiet place and perfect to spend a summer. All rooms are very bright and modern, and have en-suite bathrooms. Rooms are shared by three to four students.

Room allocation
We carefully choose the students who will share a room with each other. We take care to match roommates who have a comparable German language level and are of similar age, yet speak different native languages. This way we encourage them to speak and practice German with each other outside of the classroom. Boys and girls are housed separately.

Full board
Our students receive three meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner).

Laundry
Laundry service is offered to all students free of charge once a week for their personal laundry. Sheets and linen will be provided and changed regularly.
