Unilang Idiomas is a centre designed to fully integrate students
into Spanish life through language programs and courses,
accommodation with Spanish host families or hotels and an emphasis
on involvement in sports and cultural activities.
Unilang Idiomas is located in Santander, the peaceful nice and
hospitable capital of the Cantabrian region, northern Spain. It is one of
the most beautiful cities on the Spanish coast, today transformed into
a modern city with a complete transport infrastructure, with an
international airport flight to Paris, London, Manchester, Edinburgh,
Birmingham, Dublin, Rome, Venice, Bologna, Vienna, Marrakesh or
Brussels and ferry from England and Ireland. There are even land and
air connections with Madrid, Bilbao and Barcelona. Cantabria is a
region renowned for its impressive coastline and mountainous
landscape, where numerous sports, leisure and cultural activities can
be practised and the ideal setting for studying and recreation alike.
Unilang Idiomas was founded in 1978. We have been working
very hard since then to be able to offer our clients the best satisfaction
and effectiveness on the programmes we provide them. We are
members of the following associations: A.C.C.E.I. (Asociación
Cántabra de Centros de Enseñanza de Idiomas), F.E.C.E.I.
(Federación Española de Centros de Enseñanza de Idiomas), and
A.C.A.D.E. (Asociación de Centros y Academias de España) that
guarantee the quality of our services.
Unilang Idiomas organize linguistic trips for groups and we also
have different courses for individuals. Our teaching staff represent the
fundamental core of our courses and the linguistic focus of the
lessons is based on the communicative elements applied to practical
situations, emphasizing oral comprehension and expression whilst not
rejecting the other skills like grammar or written communication. All
the study programs also include a compendium of topics about life,
culture and the customs of our country and, at the end of the course,
all the students receive a diploma certifying the attendance to the
Spanish course.
At the beginning of each course, our students would be required to
take an assessment test to determine their level. The Common
European Framework of Reference for Languages is followed so as to
organize our groups and we prepare for official exams like D.E.L.E.
and we are Exam Preparation Centre of SIELE.
Like our students, we are convinced that immersion in the cultural environment of the language is vital for learning. What good are long grammar reviews or knowledge of the structures of a language if we are not able to put them into practice once we go out?
Based on this premise, we create and personalize our programs for our students based on their interests, playing games and organizing projects that motivate them and help them experience the language in the most real way possible.
